In the beginning there was the light of inspiration. It was a humor column, and it was dubbed "View from the North 40. And lo, though many ideas spewed forth in print via this column, not all of the humorous ideas were suited for print due to inherent length and/or content.

Then unto me a blog idea was formed. Yea, though I had the enthusiasm for the blog, I did not have the technical know-how nor the technical savvy to institute this blog unto the Internet.

Thus it was, in these days of struggle, that the blogless site was created and maintained. And though it was a happy and simple conduit for my ideas, it was a lonely place, a place without a comment section.

This lack of interaction didst weigh heavy on me, and in this heavy duude-ness I succumbed to the draw of the social networking perks of WordPress.com. A-whirl in this maelstrom of a blogoshere I saw my blog site to fruition, and it begat interaction with Readers, and I was pleased.
